Drought plays a role in much of our outdoor activities including fishing, hunting, and other recreational activities and it affects our fish and wildlife resources. During drought season the fire danger rises and some of our FWP resources may be closed or restricted. As part of the John D. Dingell. Jr. Conservation, Management, and Recreation Act of , congress designated San Rafael Swell Recreation Area (approximately , acres).
